For the sake of those who do not know what the br1m program is, it is a form of financial aid granted to eligible individuals which is made in order to ease the burden for the higher cost of living in Malaysia.
Initially, the budget was set out to be brim 2018 for an eligible household and RM250 for single individuals, however, during 2016, it seems like the scheme had change and they are giving RM 1200, 900, 450, and 1000 depending on what kind of eligibility you fall in.
How Payments Are Made
RM 1200 is granted to people with Ekasih Household Income which is below RM 1000. They are also given to those which household income is less than RM 3000. 900 is for household which income ranges from RM 3000 to 4000 while 450 is for single individuals and 1000 is for the elderly.
The government pays its people every July, June, and August which is equal to the face amount of the aid divided into 3 except for those which are given to single individuals which is given one time only, during February.
Will It Be The Same For 2018?
The payment scheme may be the same but the budget is what is we’re concerned at. As of the moment, no announcement has yet been made by the Office of The Prime Minister regarding the budget and whether or not there are changes to it. News showed that their leader have initiated to solicit ideas from his people and opened a blog that would cater to their opinions.
It has been said that the official budget will be released by October 27 and the people of Malaysia couldn’t wait to hear some good news provided that the government actually did something to address their issues and to consider the ideas they raise.
